Breeder chickens are the genetic foundation of the poultry industry. However, breeder farming demands high-precision environmental control and strict feeding standards, while reproductive performance is hard to keep stable. Traditional farming relies on manual experience, leading to inaccurate parameters and inconsistent management, which directly affect breeding stock quality and farming profitability.

To address these pain points, Big Herdsman has developed an intelligent breeder cage system that provides a full-process solution covering intelligent environmental control and precision feeding for breeder farms. The 1.8-million-breeder demonstration project of Shandong Hongfeng Agriculture & Animal Husbandry Technology Co., Ltd. adopts this system across its entire operation. The project represents a total investment of RMB 350 million and covers 12 hectares. The first phase of 8 breeder houses is already operational. Once fully operational, it will house 1.8 million breeder birds.

Breeder chickens are highly sensitive to temperature, humidity, ammonia concentration, and other parameters, which are difficult to control precisely with traditional experience-based management. Big Herdsman’s intelligent environmental control system monitors core data 24/7 and automatically adjusts fans and cooling pads to prevent stress caused by environmental fluctuations, making the breeding environment more stable.

In the feeding process, manual feeding tends to be uneven and wasteful.
